Your Medical Records Online

Evidence shows that patients who are informed and involved in their own care have better health outcomes and are less likely to be admitted to hospital. By having access to your medical records online you will be empowered to take greater control of your health and wellbeing.

In line with government guidance patients may now, with their GP’s consent, view their full coded medical record online. This is in addition to booking routine appointments and ordering repeat prescriptions. See below on how to register for this enhanced access.

Having your records online means that you can access them from anywhere in the world should you require medical treatment on holiday. Online access to your medical information is available on computers, tablets, smartphones and android phones.

How do I register?

Every practice is required to verify patient identity documentation, or individually vouch for each patient requesting access to online services.

Initially, patients should go to www.patient.co.uk/access to register for prescription/appointments on line.

A more secure identity verification process is required before full access to your medical record online can be enabled. Please contact the Practice Manager natalie.bhadresa@nhs.net to enable this (allowing 48 hours for this process).
